Since the default browser font size is 16px, by setting font-size:62.5%, we take it down to 10px.

Although 10px is small, we can then use ems easily: 0.9em = 9px, 1em = 10px, 1.4em = 14px, etc.

So yeah, it&#039;s not wrong to have font-size:100%, but it helps if we set it as 62.5%.
